The story of a Stone Age hunt

We have been practising our drawing skills, using 2d shapes to 'build' animals, and yesterday we put the practice to use, making a cave painting.

We have studied the shape and proportion of animals and noticed that most of them are made from rectangles, circles, trapeziums, triangles and parallelograms. We drew  shapes using light pencil strokes to help give our drawings proportion, then we smoothed the corners and added realistic details with heavy pencil marks. Once we had practised we then created a tribe cave painting depicting a hunt. It shows the animals we hunted and the weapons we used, each artist signed their work with their hand print.
