Bronze Age Building

Last week we took to the copse and learnt how to build like a Bronze Age farmer.

We have learnt that in the Bronze Age, people began to live in villages for the first time. They built round houses from wood and used a technique called wattle and daub to cover the walls. The roof was made from turf or thatch. We thought we were more than up to the challenge, it couldn't be that difficult could it? Judge for yourselves if you think the results are worthy of a Bronze Age villager. I think for a morning's work the Hippos did a fabulous job.
