HALF TERM!

Another half-term complete, halfway through the academic year! I can't believe how quick it is going!

Over the last few weeks, the children finished writing their persuasive speeches aimed at world leaders, urging them to take action against climate change. I was (and still am) so impressed with the passion and enthusiasm the children had for this writing - their finished speeches were incredible, something they should be very proud of! Over the last two weeks, we have been looking at a variety of biomes and then writing fact files about them; the children have then been turning them into an information booklet which they are hoping to finish today.

Over the last few weeks in maths, we have been looking at algebra. This is a topic area which often confuses children; however, they have taken every step in their stride and are now becoming confident in this!

Next half-term, we will be starting to increase the amount of SATs practise as we only have 9 teaching weeks left until the children sit these. Please encourage the children to complete the homework each week as this is more practise.

I hope everyone has a great half-term!
