I hope everyone enjoyed eating lots of Easter eggs over the holidays! I certainly did! 

It is nice to see the sun this week, and we have come back to school ready and raring to go. We have started our new topic which is called Weaving a Way through Braintree. We started by looking at the history of Braintree as a settlement and the history of wool and weaving in the town. Yesterday, we looked at the different houses along Bradford Street and their different owners. There were definitely some jobs we preferred to others! If you get the chance to have a walk along Bradford Street and look at all the old houses please do. 

Don't forget the new reading challenge we have in place across lower key stage 2. The board in the corridor is starting to fill up nicely with pictures of people reading in the strangest place! Please email us with your entries. 

Please remember to send in sun hats and sun cream as the weather gets warmer but don't forget coats either as sometimes it can still be chilly during morning break.
