So far, the children have been really enjoying the book. We have had discussions about the main character, and we wrote a letter of recommendation on her behalf, trying to persuade the chair of the Ancient Greek club to accept her as a member. 

In maths, we have been learning about numbers up to 1,000,000. We have looked at place value and how to compare different numbers and order them. We have even had time for a lesson on Roman numerals! The children are now experts at writing the date in them. 

Now, we just need to win the best door competition!
