Snow and a screen free day!

It's been a lovely final week of the half term with snow (and ice) for most of the week and a whole day without screens

What a super week it has been - it has been lots of fun with all the snow that we have had. Here are some of the happy photos of snowman building, snowball fights and sledging.

What a great start to the week it was. As the snow began to melt and more ice formed, the Dolphins class carried on with their excellent learning. They wrote diary entries about an event that happened in Queen Victoria's life, learnt about weight, mass, capacity and volume in maths and put their all into learning about workhouses during Victorian times.

Here are some great photos of the children comparing the weight of different items found around their houses and finding items that are big, but light:

The children completed their DT projects this week by creating a toy with wheels. Look at these fantastic models from Thomas and Lacey:

On Thursday, it was a whole school screen free day. There were some marvellous activities taking place. Here are some of the food related highlights:

Well done for a brilliant sixth and final week of the half term.

Our topic after half term is 'Wild Things' and hopefully we'll be back in school for some of this learning.

Have a wonderful half term.
