We have started our new topic for this half term which is 'George's marvellous medicine' by Roald Dahl. We kick started this topic with some fun science experiments....we mixed baking powder and vinegar to see what would happen....we mixed oil/water/honey dish soap and surgical spirit to see what would happen. Children took it in turns to pour in measured amounts of the different liquids....great job guys!!

 

 

We had some great scientific predictions and ideas as well as fantastic scientific vocabulary! See if your elephant can tell you what happened!

In Literacy we thought about the character of Grandma and came up with adjectives to describe her....we then wrote character descriptions about her trying to remember to include all of the things that we could use to make it a good piece of writing including expanded noun phrases a variety of conjunctions and neat and joined writing.

In Maths we looked at length and measuring using a ruler.
