After working extremely hard on their assessments this week, Flamingos also spent a day learning how to create a collage of a Viking Longship.

They began the day by looking at artworks of longships and giving their opinions about them. They then used these pictures to create a mood board to help inspire their final piece. After experimenting with different collage techniques such as layering, creating texture and depth, they drew a design for their collage. 

During the afternoon, they worked hard bringing together the morning's learning to create their collages. It was a lovely day and the children were proud of the final pieces that they had created.

I am extremely proud of the effort and resilience the Flamingos have shown this week both during their assessments and whilst working on their art.
