World Book Day is a global celebration, created by UNESCO in 1995, to promote reading, publishing, and copyright, encouraging everyone, especially children, to discover the joy of books and reading for pleasure, often marked by dressing up as book characters and receiving book tokens for special £1 books. 

At Beckers Green we celebrated WBD by dressing up as our favourite character and being able to buy a Beckers Bar inspired by Charlie and The Chocolate Factory book by Roald Dahl. Here is a small selection of the characters who turned up in Giraffes on WBD...
