Mental health strategy and support
We work hard to support both the physical and mental health of children who attend Beckers Green Primary school. Please find below the mental health strategy for our school which clearly shows support available.
Mrs Dunne is our Pastoral Support Manager and is trained in drawing and talking therapy. She mentors a number of our children who require support. Mrs Dunne has completed Mental Health Lead training in our school and is already a trained mental health first aider.
Please come and talk to us if you are concerned about your child's mental health as we can make referrals ourselves or support you to do the same if necessary to the appropriate support agencies.
You can also read publications on supporting children's mental health and anxiety.
Neurodivergence and Mental Health:
In the year of 2025-2026, the Pastoral Team have undertaken some significant training in supporting children with mental health challenges and looked at this from the perspective of neurodiversity in particular. Although this is a difficult topic, we thought it might be useful to share some of the resources and links to agency support on our website, in conjunction with the HCRG Care Group.
