We’ve had a fantastic week in Year 1!

In maths, the children have been exploring volume and mass. They’ve really enjoyed the hands‑on activities and have begun to use key vocabulary with growing confidence.

In writing, the class has been working incredibly hard on their newspaper articles about Neil Armstrong. They used their phonics knowledge brilliantly and drew on everything they’ve learned in history to produce some excellent pieces. We published the finished articles on Friday, and they look wonderful, the children should feel very proud of themselves!

PE Reminder

A reminder that we have PE every Friday.
Please ensure your child has their full PE kit in school each week, and that earrings are removed before they arrive. Today, 12 children did not have their kits, which makes finding enough spare kit quite tricky. Your help in making sure kits are in school is very much appreciated.
