How do we make sure that every voice is heard?
We discussed the question for this half-term.
How do we make sure that every voice is heard in the classroom?
- People put their hand up
- Our teachers use lolly-sticks (lolly lotto)
- We practice respectful listening
- Some classes have a show and tell opportunity
- Jobs and responsibilities are shared out
- We use our Beckers Talk Role cards so that we all have a chance and responsibility when talking
- We do ‘table talk’ and report one idea
- We get dojos for all participating and sharing ideas – these are part of our co-operative learning values
- In PSHE, we use and pass a puzzle piece which means we are the talker (although you do have the right to pass.)
- We have a class charter and our school values to act as a reminder to hear every voice
