World Earth Day

To celebrate World Earth Day we went to the Eden project in Cornwall (virtually of course!) for a live lesson from the Rainforest biome.
This morning we were lucky enough to 'go' to the Eden project, looking around the Rainforest biome, listening to a rainforest story and answering riddles along the way to discover different plants - perfect timing as today is World Earth Day.

Later this afternoon, we learnt about global warming and how it is important to carry on the work of David Attenborough and protect our planet. We learnt about the gases causing the heat from the sun to be trapped which is warming up the planet, causing ice to melt, floods to happen and devastation around the world. The Elephants felt very passionate about this and created their own posters to give suggestions on ways to stop global warming and protect our planet.
