We have been looking at the different crimes and punishments from the Anglo-Saxon time to Modern Day crimes and punishments, stopping off via the Tudors and Victorians along the way. 

We started off our topic by constructing a timeline of crimes and punishments in the 4 key areas we are studying.

We then compared Anglo-Saxon punishments to Modern Day punishments and had to decide which punishment we believed should be the correct one.

Louisa

We then looked at the reasons given by Anglo-Saxons as defence for their crimes. We discovered that the main 4 defence tactic themes were poverty, illness, food and homes.

Next, we used primary and secondary sources to learn about crimes and punishments from the past.

Romilly

We continued to use sources to learn about the themes of crimes and punishment in Tudor times. 

We will continue to use sources to examine different crimes and punishments in Tudor and Victorian times.
