Hippo class, along with the rest of the school, celebrated World Book Day

In the morning, we welcomed the parents and read with a snack. It was lovely to see everyone cosy up. 

We then spent some time looking at the features of a fable. We learnt that they always have a key message or life lesson. We used these as inspiration for our own writing. Key messages included: always try your best, never trust a flatterer and always say kind words.

We attended a special assembly to receive 'Best Dressed Adjective' certificates. In Hippo Class, the winning adjectives were wise and crafty. There were other stand-outs included sleepy, fast and stealthy.
