Mini Marathon 2026
An amazing day with some future marathon runners!
On Saturday, 21 of our children travelled to London with their families to take part in this year's TCS MIni Marathon. We could not have asked for better weather and myself, Mrs Smyth, Mrs Jones and Ms Bell were excited to be able to support the children during their run. There were lots of smiles and excited faces as the children waited for their wave to begin. Nitro, from Gladiators and Joe Wicks were there to get the children warmed up before they took on their mile race, which would take them along the last mile of Sunday's marathon.
It was fantastic to be in the grandstand at the finish line cheering all of our children as they completed their run. As a keen runner myself, it was a privilege to support this event and to see our children enjoying their run. The children received a fantastic medal for their efforts, and we could not be more proud of them. Maybe in years to come they will be lining up on the start line of the full marathon!
It was an extra special weekend to have participated in what turned out to be a record-breaking marathon, with the first ever competitive sub-two-hour marathon achieved by Sabastain Sawe!
Well done again to all the children who took part, we cannot wait to do it all again next year!
