FRAGMENTS FOUND

We’ve had a fantastic start to the new half-term. The children have returned full of energy and enthusiasm, ready to dive back into our exciting topic: Ancient Greece.

This week, our young historians have been putting their imaginations and writing skills to work by creating newspaper reports about a mysterious discovery in the school copse. The story? An ancient Greek artefact has been unearthed right here on the school grounds! The children have been exploring how to write in the style of newspaper reporters — using headlines, passive voice and dramatic detail to bring their reports to life.

It’s been wonderful to see how engaged they are, combining historical knowledge with creative writing.
