A Bug's Life

We have started back with our exciting topic, "A Bug's Life."

In Maths, we've been exploring concepts like more than and less than, tens numbers, comparing numbers, and money. The children are becoming more confident in these areas.

In English, we are focusing on persuasive letter writing. The students are learning to use connectives like "and" and "but," as well as exclamation marks to add emphasis. Next week, we will be writing a persuasive letter, which I'm sure will be a fun and engaging activity.

The Phonics screening went well, and I want to say a big well done to all the children for their hard work and progress.

Our Science focus this term is understanding what plants need to grow and survive. We will be conducting some comparative testing to explore this further.

In Geography, we are learning about rivers—where and how they start, and locating them on maps. This will help the children develop a better understanding of natural landscapes and geographical features.
