Marvellous Medicine Week 1

Back to school with a busy but short week! Our history subject for the week saw us delve in to the lives of Florence Nightingale and Mary Seacole!
We learnt all about the history of Florence Nightingale's life, born in 1820 and becoming a nurse, despite her wealthy upbringing. She went to Turkey to help soldiers in the Crimean War, becoming known as Lady of the Lamp due to her checking on soliders at night.

Science - how can seed or bulb grow in to a mature plant? We carried out our own enquiry to germinate seeds, this will be an over time observation, checking them each week!
