This term
Learning... in a different way
This term has started in a slightly bizarre way hasn't it? Never mind, we now have all of this wonderful technology which means that we can still see and speak to you all from home!
We have kept to our planned topic of the Ancient Egyptians, which means that when the school gates finally re-open, we will have a nice new blank display wall waiting for us to adorn with work!
We are spending the first three weeks of the half term focussing on instructions for mummifying a body - a pretty revolting job! Did you know that a hook was used up the nose to dig about and fish out the brains?! Yuk! After this, we will be moving on to a non-chronological report. This will give plenty of opportunity for lots of research to be done from home about our topic - ideal!
For maths, it is fractions for a little longer before we move onto ratio. The Jaguars class are purging on with their maths lessons and we have loved seeing lots of parents getting involved and loving it too!
We have everything crossed that we can be back together, in our classroom, before too long. Until then, stay safe.
