A morning with Maz Evans

Last week, we were very privileged to be able to speak to the author of our reading skills book, Maz Evans.

To begin with, Maz Evans spoke to us about her life, including: how she became an author; the writing she managed during lockdown; how long it took her to get her first book published; and much more. She was really engaging, and the children were all glued to her every word, hopefully some felt inspired too.

After she had spoke to us, the children were given the opportunity to ask questions of their own. Each class took it in turns to come to the front and speak to her, she was really impressed with their questions!

We must thank the PTA for funding the event, all the children took a lot from it.
