As usual we have had an extremely busy week!
We started the half term off with a mini topic all about 5th November. We have found out all about the history of Guy Fawkes and why we celebrate bonfire night. We have looked at sources of evidence...how we know the gunpowder plot actually happened...who Guy Fawkes was and how and why we celebrate it.
This week literacy has been all about fireworks and bonfires, thinking about onomatopoeia and adjectives. The outcome was to write a fantastic firework/bonfire night poem. Some brilliant ideas!
In maths we have been adding crossing ten. Using 10s and 1s to help us.
Friday we had careers morning and we enjoyed meeting lots of new people who told us all about their jobs. The highlight was possibly meeting Gemma the sniffer dog and her police handler. The children loved Gemma!!
Next week we kick start the new topic which is 'Paddington bear'.
Please keep practising TT rockstarsat home the children are really showing progress every week in their scores.
Have a great weekend.
